Ghana Police Interdicts Five Officers for Social Media Misconduct

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has taken disciplinary action against five of its officers, placing them under interdiction following allegations of misconduct.

The officers are accused of the unauthorized use of the Police uniform in content posted on social media platforms.

Disciplinary Action

The GPS has referred the five personnel to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB). The bureau will conduct a further investigation into the allegations and recommend appropriate disciplinary action.

The announcement was officially made in a statement released today, 16 December 2025, by DSP Richmond Mensah, the Director-General of Public Affairs.
