GFA Stands with Aduana FC After Supporters’ Accident; Frederick Acheampong Visits Victims

GFA Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong has paid a visit to injured Aduana FC supporters following a tragic accident that occurred in the Ashanti Region.

Acheampong visited the victims at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he spent time checking on their progress and offering words of comfort to their families. He assured them of the Ghana Football Association’s support during this difficult period.

The accident happened at Aboabo/Aboaso when a tricycle, commonly known as a Pragya, lost control and crashed while transporting several Aduana fans. Two supporters died in the incident, and multiple others sustained injuries, with three reported to be in critical condition.

Aduana FC earlier confirmed the fatalities, noting that two of the injured persons remain hospitalised. The club also stated that it is in close contact with the affected families and will continue to provide necessary updates.

Acheampong’s visit underscores the GFA’s commitment to standing with the victims and ensuring they receive the assistance and care needed as they recover.
