Dr. Kuuku Dadzie Ephraim has questioned the ability of science and medicine to explain what happens to the human spirit after death, arguing that their limitations reveal the supremacy of spiritual understanding.

He said that when medical professionals claim the spirit returns to God, they inadvertently acknowledge that God is the true owner and ultimate authority over the destiny of the soul.

According to him, it is misguided to rely on the opinions of the living regarding what lies beyond death, stressing that only God’s word provides the true and reliable account of the afterlife.

Dr. Ephraim also drew a contrast between scientific theories and biblical teachings. He noted that concepts such as the Big Bang and evolution were formulated by humans—just as sceptics argue the Bible was written by humans. However, he stated that while people believe scientific theories because of physical evidence, he believes the Bible because it presents what he describes as “spiritual proof.”

He added that the real question is whether one chooses to trust human ideas or divine authority. Citing Genesis 1:1 as God’s own declaration of creation, he affirmed the biblical teaching on the existence of hell.

Dr. Ephraim cautioned that those who reject God’s word will only recognize the truth when it is too late, emphasizing that every individual must make a conscious choice between relying on science or embracing Scripture.
