FC Nordsjaelland attacker Prince Amoako Junior has lavished praise on teammate Caleb Yirenkyi, describing the midfielder as exceptionally talented and consistently reliable.
Yirenkyi has established himself as a key figure at the Danish top-flight side since earning promotion to the senior team, delivering steady performances that have also caught the attention of the national selectors.
His form has earned him a place in the Black Stars setup, where he has already made eight appearances, including outings in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Speaking to Joy Sports, Amoako Junior said Yirenkyi remains grounded despite the growing recognition around him.
“Caleb doesn’t see himself the way we see him. He’s very humble and focused on his work,” he said. “He’s insanely good. He delivers almost every game, and maintaining that level of consistency is top class.”
The Nordsjaelland forward added that he regularly reminds Yirenkyi of his potential, even though the midfielder remains driven to achieve more.
“He’s a superstar, and I tell him that all the time, but he still wants to push himself further,” Amoako noted.
During the 2025/26 season, Yirenkyi has featured in 21 matches across all competitions for Nordsjaelland, registering one goal and four assists.
Barring injury, the midfielder is expected to be part of Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup later this year.
