Two employees of Asomdwie Rubber Company, a Chinese-owned plastic processing firm in Atonsu Agogo in the Ashanti Region, were discovered dead inside a parked vehicle on the company’s premises.
The deceased have been identified as Baba, a senior staff member, and a female colleague who had worked at the company for less than two months. Their bodies were found on the back seat of the vehicle, with the woman’s head resting on Baba’s shoulder. Baba was reportedly dressed in only a singlet and shorts. The vehicle’s windows were tinted and rolled up, and the doors were locked when the bodies were discovered.
According to sources, staff of the company had attended the wedding of one of their managers on Saturday, 22 November, where both of the deceased were present. Later the same evening, the female employee reported for her shift but said she was unwell and was asked to return home. Around 8 p.m., residents saw Baba’s car drive into the area and park, initially with the engine running before it later went off.
The car remained unmoved throughout Sunday, 23 November. By Monday, 24 November, workers and nearby residents noticed a foul odour and alerted police. Officers broke the car windows to gain access and found the two bodies.
Additional information shows that Baba married in August 2025 and his wife is currently pregnant. The female colleague was also reportedly preparing for her wedding in December 2025.
Police have taken the bodies to the morgue as investigations into the cause of death continue.
