Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has been named in the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Premier League Team of the Year for the 2025/26 season.
The prestigious XI was unveiled during the PFA Awards at the Manchester Opera House on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, with Arsenal and Manchester City dominating the players’ selections.
Premier League champions Arsenal supplied five players, with goalkeeper David Raya joined by defenders Jurriën Timber, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães, as well as midfielder Declan Rice.
Manchester City had four representatives in the XI, including Ghanaian forward Semenyo, young defender Nico O’Reilly, Rayan Cherki and prolific striker Erling Haaland.
The remaining two places went to Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Brentford striker Igor Thiago.
Fernandes’ inclusion follows an exceptional individual campaign in which he set a new Premier League record for assists, registering 21 during the season.
The Portugal international was also named the PFA Men’s Players’ Player of the Year at the same ceremony.
O’Reilly enjoyed an equally memorable evening after being named PFA Young Player of the Year before being included in the main Team of the Year.
For Semenyo, his selection caps an impressive campaign with Manchester City and adds another major individual recognition to his growing profile.
