Officials from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on Thursday, December 4, 2025, escorted private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu to inspect a landed property he had presented as surety to satisfy his bail conditions.
According to sources, the escort formed part of routine OSP protocols, which require verification of any assets offered as surety before bail can be fully executed.
Kpebu had reported to the OSP to assist with investigations into corruption allegations he levelled against Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng. However, he was detained on Wednesday, December 3, after a confrontation with security officers at the entrance of the OSP headquarters. He was placed in custody before any formal questioning could take place and later released.
The property verification is consistent with internal OSP procedures designed to authenticate information provided by individuals under investigation prior to the conclusion of bail processes.
