Flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has declared that the party stands at a critical crossroads and needs a leader who can restore unity, discipline, and integrity to secure victory in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking to NPP delegates and executives from Atwima Mponua, Atwima Kwanwoma, Atwima Nwabiagya North, and Atwima Nwabiagya South as part of Phase II of his Ashanti Regional Tour, Ing. Agyepong emphasized that the NPP’s most pressing challenge is not just about winning elections, but rebuilding trust and rekindling the spirit of service and selflessness that once defined the party’s core identity.

“The NPP is at a crossroads. What the party needs now is a unifier — someone who can bridge divisions, restore hope, and bring every member on board. I am that person,” Ing. Agyepong declared to loud applause from the delegates.

He said the NPP’s internal unity has been weakened by factionalism, apathy, and neglect of grassroots members who have sacrificed for years to bring the party to power. According to him, the only way for the NPP to reconnect with the Ghanaian people is to first heal itself from within.

“Our foundation was built on sacrifice, service, and selflessness. Today, that foundation is shaking. We must rebuild it with humility and genuine love for the party and for Ghana,” he added.

Ing. Agyepong, who has been championing internal reforms to give former party executives and appointees voting rights, reiterated his commitment to inclusivity, fairness, and discipline within the NPP’s leadership structure.

He emphasized that his leadership vision goes beyond party politics, highlighting that his administration will prioritize the welfare of party members, uphold integrity in governance, and restore the NPP’s credibility in the eyes of the Ghanaian public.

“When I speak about unity, I mean a real sense of belonging for everyone who has ever served this great party. The NPP cannot afford another term of disunity and arrogance. If you send me, Ghanaians will forgive us and vote for the NPP again in 2028,” he told the cheering delegates.

The meeting, which formed part of his Ashanti Regional Tour Phase II, saw massive support and endorsement from the grassroots, with many delegates describing Ing. Agyepong as “the true unifier with integrity and heart” — a leader capable of restoring the NPP’s lost glory and leading the party to victory in 2028.
